Aveda was born in 1978 with the vision to bring beauty professionals botanical products that would be good for them, their guests, and the Earth. Aveda has been cruelty free since the beginning, their products are formulated without parabens, phthalates and sodium lauryl sulfate. Aveda has also established Soil to Bottle traceability for certain key ingredients, which allows Aveda to document the source of these ingredients while promoting quality through its supply chain. Aveda uses naturally derived and certified organic ingredients in their products and their hair color is 97% naturally derived! Not Only are Aveda's products industry leading, so is their education. Aveda offers local education as close as Lansing, Royal Oak and Grand Rapids for their stylists to continue their education and stay updated on the latest trends. Just since January different members of the Fringe team have attended a braiding and salon speed styling class, a creative cutting class, and a demi+ color class. We also have 2 more classes scheduled for April on bridal makeup and color connections for makeup. We have even had an in salon color class through Aveda this year! All this and its only March. Know that when you purchase Aveda products at Fringe you are not only purchasing high quality professional product, you are also supporting continuing education for your stylist to help give you the best service possible!
Through Aveda we have also had the incredible experience of working New York and London fashion week. Working fashion week is a dream come true for any stylist. The amount that you learn backstage while training under the industries top stylists is priceless. Along with getting the opportunity to do some extreme and Avant Garde hair, we get to be among the first to see the latest trends in fashion! If it wasn't for Aveda and the education they offer, we would have never gotten this opportunity.
We are extremely proud to be an Aveda salon. We know we can sell their products with confidence in their ability to preform. We know the ingredients in their products and hair color are healthy for us, our guests and the planet. Aveda inspires us to make changes in our daily life to take better care of our planet and community. It was Aveda who inspired us to start recycling not only our plastic and paper, but also all of our hair clippings and foil! We are down to about 1-2 bags of garbage per week compared to 8-10 before we started with Aveda. Their mission says it all. We LOVE Aveda!!!
