Trisha Browning
Trisha has had a very strong passion for hair color since an early age. Douglas J Aveda Institute in East Lansing is where she received her education. While going to school, she also was an assistant at a prestigious salon, working under the top stylists and colorists. Trisha's favorite thing to do is color, however she also loves cutting and styling! Trisha has attended many advanced education classes in New York, Las Vegas, Chicago and the Institute of Courage in Los Angeles. She has also taken a color class from Ian Michael Black (Aveda's Creative Artistic Director for hair color) and Ricardo Dinis (Aveda's global director for haircutting). Trisha loves to keep up on all the latest trends and services. She has also worked backstage multiple times at New York and London Fashion week with the Aveda team. Trisha opened Fringe Salon in May of 2010, has over 14 years experience, and is excited to see new faces and service the community!
Linda Hackney
Linda is one of our most important assets at Fringe! She keeps the salon looking beautiful and stylish at all times. Thanks to Linda, you will find it easy to make an appointment that is convenient for you. Linda is also an extremely talented nail technician! Stacy Ellsworth
Stacy Ellsworth is a hair stylist at Fringe. Stacy attended Douglas J Aveda Institute and graduated in 2005. After graduation, Stacy was an assistant at Ralph Paul in Grand Blanc for 1 year. Sommerset Day Spa is where Stacy started her career as a stylist, and eventually moved to Escape Salon in Flint. She has been full time at Fringe since 2011! Stacy has attended many of Aveda's advanced education classes including Pure Blonding, Core cutting 1 and 2, Power Painting and haircolor solutions. She has also taken a cutting class from Ricardo Dinis, Aveda's global artistic director for haircutting. Stacy attended a week long training and has a certification from the Institute of Courage in Los Angeles. Not only does Stacy offer coloring and cutting, but she also does tape in hair extensions! Hannah Gentz
Hannah has been with the Fringe team since 2020. She received her education at Mott Community College and has taken many advanced education courses. Being a second generation stylist, Hannah has had a passion for hair since an early age. She assisted under the Fringe team for over 6 months before taking her own clients. Not only does Hannah offer fantastic cuts and colors, but she also offers custom sewn in extensions! Hannah has worked backstage at New York fashion week with Aveda. Shay Vandemark
Shay has been at Fringe since 2020. She received her education at Douglas J Aveda Institute in East Lansing. Shay has been a client of Fringe since she was in the 8th grade and starting assisting under the Fringe team as soon as she decided to go to Douglas J! Shay loves all aspects of cosmology but her favorite is bridal updos and color. She has taken many advanced hair classes including one from Aveda's Global Artistic Director for haircolor, Ian Michael Black. Sandy Scott
When calling Fringe to make your appointments, you will be pleasantly greeted by Sandy! She has been on the Fringe team since 2010. Sandy will be more than happy to assist you in scheduling your next service and helping you choose which stylist will be best for you. Working in the salon industry for quite sometime, Sandy is very educated on all aspects of the hair and nail industry and can help you with any questions you may have. Sydney Palmquist
Sydney has been with Fringe since 2021. She received her education at the Brighton School of Cosmetology. Syd assisted at Fringe for almost 2 years before starting her career behind the chair! She has taken many advanced education classes including haircutting/ coloring classes with award winning stylist Susan Ford and Jeffery Scott. She has taken Aveda's Core Cutting class in Chicago and has worked backstage at New York Fashion week! Training with the top Aveda stylists, Syd is very knowledgeable and loves to make people feel good about themselves!
Tara Browning
Tara has been with the Fringe team since 2012. She received her education at Douglas J Aveda institute where she found her passion for making people feel beautiful! Tara offers waxing, cutting, coloring, styling and is our salon specialist for perms. She has taken many advanced courses and has had a passion for hair her whole life. One of her favorite advanced education classes include cutting and styling classes from 2 of Aveda's top artists on their global artistic team! She has over 12 years experience and loves seeing new faces in her chair! So stop by to see her and schedule your appointment today!
Jody Davenport
Jody Davenport graduated from Durand High School in 2008. During her senior year, she decided to start her career as a nail tech, receiving her nail license by the time she was 17. After working at Fringe for just a couple of months, Jody decided she wanted to learn all aspects of cosmetology. She then started assisting under owner Trisha Browning and signed up for school at Douglas J Aveda Institute, graduating in 2011. Jody has taken a number of Aveda's advanced education classes including classes at the Advanced Academy in NYC and Chicago. She has also completed Aveda's runway styling course and has worked backstage at London and New York Fashion Week. Jody also has a certification from Young Nails Academy in LA. She attended a week long course focusing specifically on acrylic nails. Jody has over 14 years nail experience and over 10 years hair experience! She would love to see you in the salon so she can make you feel pampered, relaxed, and beautiful.
Jason Grumley
Jason has been with the Fringe team since 2019. He works the front desk/ guest services and would love to help you schedule your next appointment. Jason can also help you pick out a new style! When he isn't at Fringe, you can find him behind the camera. He owns his own photography business and took all the photos you see here on our website. Jason is a joy to have in the salon!
Quinn Deisler
Quinn has been with the Fringe team since 2019. She works the front desk/ guest services. Quinn would love to help you book an appointment with a stylist that best matches your personality. When not at Fringe, you can find Quinn working her day job as a social worker at Swartz Creek Schools. We are so lucky to have Quinn at Fringe with her busy schedule!
Rachel Raleigh
Paige Deisler
Paige has been with the Fringe team since December 2021. She attended Douglas J Barber School, where she studied all things cutting. Paige specializes in men's hair, short hair and straight razor shaves. She has experience with all hair textures and densities! You can find Paige here at Fringe Monday-Saturday. Rachel has been with the Fringe team since 2023. She attended Douglas J Aveda institute in East Lansing right after high school. Rachel has had a huge passion for all things cosmetology her whole life. Since being with Fringe, Rachel has taken advanced education classes with some of the industry's best. Including a hands-on cutting class with Susan Ford, Alchemy of color with Thomas Pepin and cutting class with Wayne Tuggle. Rachel is currently assisting all the stylists at Fringe and is excited to soon start taking clients of her own!
